Questions
Everything you need to know before you apply.
Yes. Your doctorate supervisor must approve your participation. We'll send you a form to submit with your application. This isn't bureaucracy—it's respect for the work you're already doing.
No. You must be in Year 12 or Year 13. First-year students can apply the following year. We want people who've had time to understand what commitment means.
Yes. All international travel is funded. Accommodation, flights, meals—we cover it. You bring the work. We handle the logistics.
You still run your programme. You still deploy. You just deploy within the UK instead of internationally. The impact is real either way.
We look at clarity of need, feasibility of solution, team composition, and mentor experience. We're not looking for perfect plans. We're looking for people who understand the problem and have the grit to solve it.
When will I hear back?
We'll contact you latest 16th September with next steps.
